I am pleased I get to write for Stage Directions, one of my favorite magazines because I am a theater geek. Recently I wrote an article called the Art of Listening, which got a great response.
I could TOTALLY be one of these guys!
Now I hate to brag (that’s not true), but what happened was my editor had this story assigned to another writer who apparently has the work ethic of a sloth. She left my editor high and dry, and he texted me about it Saturday night. Sounded fun so sure … but it was due Monday. I got that extended to Tuesday morning, and when I turned it in, he was like, “this looks like we’ve been working on it for months!”
It helped that I have theater friends in high places …
But beyond that, it’s an interesting read. It has a point that certainly carries beyond the boards!
