“Hi, I want to interview you for a story!”
Yeah not cool. Talk about the tables being turned.
I’ve interviewed over 1,000 people easy so you would think I would know how to be on the business end of a phone receiver. Not so much.
Recently the St. Louis Beacon interviewed me for a story about dads working from home. It was a good education because while Kristen did a great job, after, being a writer and all, I wanted to rewrite whatever crazy incoherent whatever I said to her. But it turned out well.
It reminds me to always let the person I’m interviewing have an opportunity to circle back and comment and rephrase things.
But enough about me, read the article — it’s interesting, and I’d love to hear what you think the future of work for all of us will be.
