The vast majority of features I do for my magazines are of the person/company profile variety. I love those, because I sincerely love talking to people from all walks of life and what they do with themselves. I don’t get to do it as often, but I also get to do full-blown reports, like this one for MMR Magazine. It’s about the Greening of the music instrument industry, and I was proud to put a spotlight on some of the smart environmentalist leaders of the business. But I was also proud that MMR let me go back and revisitthe same subject a few years later.
In the B2B trade business, there is rarely follow-up, not enough going back for a second or third look at an important topic. I am always pushing for this, and usually get my way!
